CME Accreditation and Designation
The Cardiovascular Research Foundation is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The Cardiovascular Research Foundation designates this educational activity for a maximum of 56.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

This program has been approved by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN) for 66.5 Contact Hours; CERP Category A, File number 00013542.

Sixty minutes of physician participation in TCT equals 1 credit. Documentation of awarded credit is provided for registered attendees in exchange for completed activity evaluations. Certificates of attendance are provided to all registered attendees.

The following activities are not included in the official TCT CME program: breakfast meetings, evening symposia, interventional vascular simulation sessions, and other programs in the Physician Training Center.


Learning Objectives

By the end of this symposium, participants should be able to

  • Relate the results from important clinical trials and evidence-based medicine that guide the management of patients with atherosclerosis and structural heart disease
  • Integrate new interventional techniques and procedures to the care of patients with complex coronary, carotid, and peripheral vascular disease
  • Explain advances in diagnostic evaluation and therapeutics for patients with carotid and peripheral vascular disease
  • Integrate appropriate pharmacologic management in the care of patients undergoing diagnostic arteriography and interventional therapies before, during, and after catheterization
  • Distinguish between new interventional technologies and propose their appropriate applications to patients with cardiovascular disease


Target Audience

This symposium is designed for interventional cardiologists, radiologists, clinical cardiologists, basic scientists, vascular medicine specialists, surgeons, and other health care professionals with a special interest in the field of interventional vascular therapy and medicine.


Activity Evaluation

Evaluation by questionnaire will address content, presentation, possible bias, and future educational needs.
