Interactive Operator Tutorials:
Taking place on the Friday (October 27)
of the meeting, these sessions emphasize
practical and advanced cath lab procedural
strategies. Attendees can also review
challenging cases, and edited "live
case" video, with expert faculty
utilizing audience response Q&A
Electronic and
downloadable original research:
Over 100 oral and 500 poster abstracts
of original research will be available
electronically for viewing and downloading
at stations throughout the convention
center
Self-Assessment
and Board Review Course: Now includes
board review content for endovascular
therapy (in conjunction with the Society
for Vascular Medicine and Biology)
Expanded Hands
on Hearts: Physicians will have
the opportunity to see and touch human
heart specimens with various structural
abnormalities that they are likely to
encounter in the practice of endovascular
medicine. New for this year, sessions
will feature hands-on device techniques
3D workstations
for CT Imaging: A part of TCT's
expanded TeachImage™ exhibit, which will
allow physicians to test their interpretation
skills in analyzing intravascular ultrasound
(IVUS), fractional flow reserve (FFR),
and computed tomographic angiography (CTA)
images
Specialty Device Training: TCT 2006 will feature a new area within the Physician Training Center devoted to specialty devices developed for coronary and peripheral interventions. These non-CME industry-sponsored sessions will include hands-on, one-on-one training designed to educate practicing clinicians on the proper techniques and usage of specialty devices. Conducted by experienced physicians and clinical specialists, the sessions will begin with a didactic presentation on the device technology and utilization, followed by interactive hands-on training
