Program Update

New for TCT 2006
Interactive Operator Tutorials: Taking place on the Friday (October 27) of the meeting, these sessions emphasize practical and advanced cath lab procedural strategies. Attendees can also review challenging cases, and edited "live case" video, with expert faculty utilizing audience response Q&A

Electronic and downloadable original research: Over 100 oral and 500 poster abstracts of original research will be available electronically for viewing and downloading at stations throughout the convention center

Self-Assessment and Board Review Course: Now includes board review content for endovascular therapy (in conjunction with the Society for Vascular Medicine and Biology)

Expanded Hands on Hearts: Physicians will have the opportunity to see and touch human heart specimens with various structural abnormalities that they are likely to encounter in the practice of endovascular medicine. New for this year, sessions will feature hands-on device techniques

3D workstations for CT Imaging: A part of TCT's expanded TeachImage™ exhibit, which will allow physicians to test their interpretation skills in analyzing intravascular ultrasound (IVUS), fractional flow reserve (FFR), and computed tomographic angiography (CTA) images

Specialty Device Training: TCT 2006 will feature a new area within the Physician Training Center devoted to specialty devices developed for coronary and peripheral interventions. These non-CME industry-sponsored sessions will include hands-on, one-on-one training designed to educate practicing clinicians on the proper techniques and usage of specialty devices. Conducted by experienced physicians and clinical specialists, the sessions will begin with a didactic presentation on the device technology and utilization, followed by interactive hands-on training
